Updates, length challenges, colour check

Hi, everyone!

I'm officially 15 months locked! Still learning and still enjoying it all.

Here is a photo of my recent updo. What do you think?

Apologies for the furniture in the staff quarters.
Many thanks to Leanne for always willing to help me snap a few pics.
Now the colour has definitely faded. It's more of an orange-red/pinky shade :)  The orange would be due to the highlights. I can tell you that as much as I
don't like to see highlighted ends left exposed, without colour, I am willing to see how far I'd go with my hair like that. Time will tell.

That little bottle of Jojoba Oil above is from Jenn's Health in Mall Internationale (BDS$23). I mix 2 drops Castor Oil to 1 drop Jojoba Oil in the palms of my hands. Then, apply to my hairline and along the parts of the locs. I tend to rub my oiled hands over my locs and also, onto my daughter's hairline, hair and scalp.

Asking what length challenges?
Call me hasty, but I just want my locs to be longer! All those sexy, longer locs! Don't you see how they are pinned? Curled? Wrapped? Petaled? Twisted? *LE SIGH*

Don't you just feel visit after visit that your locs should be longer and ready to do a different kind of style? LOOOOL!! I do!!

  2. Congrats on 15 months! Your locs look great and I still love the color. BTW, I recently started using the Dessert Essence facial wash and moisturizer.

  3. Thank you, Kareen! I am appreciating the different shades of the colour now though. Not being as rich red, I am seeing shades of colour almost like copper sunset on some of them. But, I'll see what happens next.

Dessert Essence. Hmmm, never heard of it. Tell me more please!!!
